Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock
repairs including but not limited to the following minimum items: (1)
Preserve Barge Spud, Spud Well and Renew Spud Well Liner, (2) Remove,
inspect, repair and reinstall propeller shaft(s), (3) renew
water-lubricated shaft bearing(s) (4) remove and reinstall propellers,
(5) clean and test grid coolers, (6) clean, inspect and disinfect
potable water tank(s), (7) remove, inspect and reinstall rudder
assemblies, (8) renew sewage tank discharge piping, (9) inspect and
test deck fittings and chain stopper, (10) provide temporary berthing
and messing, (11) renew Engineroom overhead insulation and (12) provide
temporary logistics, etc. Indefinite items include but are not limited
to the following: (1) welding repairs, (2) preserve diesel fuel tank,
(3) preserve potable water tank(s), renew corrosion preventative zinc
anodes, (4) additional temporary berthing, and (5) additional
temporary logistics, etc. Vessel's homeport is Corpus Christie, TX. The
place of performance is restricted from Brownsville, TX to Carrabelle,
FL via Intra Coastal Waterway. Vessel availability schedule is 10 Feb
97 for 42 days. Vessel length is 75 foot ``A'' class inland
construction tender and 68 foot barge. All referenced documents are

A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified check or
money order made payable to the US Coast Guard for requested drawings.
All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the
subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or
after 12 Nov 96. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall
be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For Minority,

Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
