The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Western Regional Office is soliciting offers for a construction requirement to retrofit two exiting McQuay Centrifugal Chillers, at the Federal Correctional Institution located in Phoenix, AZ. Work to include but not limited to Retrofit chillers from R-12 to R134A, increase tonnage by 42 tons, install new control panels, replace cooling tower to handle increased tonnage, retrofit hydronic system and associated pumps, piping and electrical. All related work must be completed within 60 calendar days after issuance of the official Notice to Proceed. The solicitation number IFB 187-0102, will be available on or about November 15, 1996, with a tentative bid opening date of December 19, 1996. A site visit and pre-bid conference will take place as stated in the solicitation. The successful bidder will be required to furnish all materials, labor, services and equipment necessary to complete the project in accordance with the scope of work within the solicitation. The estimated price range for this project is between 100,000.00 and 250,000.00. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered. No telephone requests will be accepted.
