USAID is issuing a draft program description/statement of work for technical assistance/services in HIV/AIDS, for comments from interested parties. The comments will be accepted through the close of business, 11/25/96, addressed to the point of contact in this notice. The resulting RFA and RFP's are anticipated to be issued in January 1997. The proposed assistance/services are as follows: 1. A Cooperative Agreement to recommend solutions and ''best practices'' for outstanding technical and operational questions in the areas of reduced sexual risk of acquiring HIV, the prevention and management of sexually transmitted infections, policy analysis and change, the effective and efficient provision of care and support services, and, effective community partnership and ownership. 2. A task order contract for implementation of HIV/AIDS field activities, and 3. A task order contract for implementation of HIV/AIDS social marketing activities.
