R -- SPONSORSHIP/IN KIND DONATIONS FOR 1997 HILLBERG WINTER CARNIVAL SOL SVS-SCS-97-96 DUE 011597. POC Shena Jones, 907/552-5823, FAX 907/552-9250. We are soliciting in-kind donations or sponsorship for Hillberg Ski Area's Winter Carnival, tentatively scheduled for March 1997. During the November-through-March ski season, Hillberg hosts nearly 60,000 patrons. The carnival is the season's grand finale and is open to all military and civilians. We are looking for sponsorship of enough food and drinks for about 700 people for the weekend event, as well as ski equipment, clothing and promotional items to serve as prizes. As a grand prize, we are seeking a winter recreational vehicle such as snowmachine or 4-wheeler. In addition, we are looking for sponsorship of 25 red and 25 blue nylon gate flags. They will be used during Winter Carnival, intramurals, family fun races and the 8 and under state race. Hillberg also is seeking sponsorship for food, drinks, trophies and door prizes for several other events: an appreciation dinner at the end of the season for the intramural program and the Youth Camp/Learn to Ski Program. Sponsors will be allowed to display banners and information throughout the duration of each sponsored event. All offers will be considered. More than one sponsor/donation may be accepted and additives will be considered. Requests for copies of this solicitation must be received not later than 15 Nov for the Winter Carnival and 15 Jan 1997 for all other events. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship/donation by a nonappropriated fund instrumentality of the United States Government. It does not obligate appropriated funds of the Government. (302)
