(207) 921-2963. The work includes the following items as described in
the specifications and on the contract drawings. The items are as
follows; a.) Architectural/Structural - Removal of existing V.A.T.
floor tile on all three floors including the center stairwell and
replace with V.C.T. flooring. Replace kitchen cabinets with stainless
steel units, paint interior areas, remove woodgrain paneling and
install wallboard, repair metal-lathe ceilings as directed, replace
suspended ceiling system and install new where directed, acid wash
floor tile where shown, and add a generator addition as shown. b.)
Mechanical/Plumbing-Install new vechile exhaust system, air
conditioning where shown on the plans, remove and replace showers and
change areas as shown on the drawings, and incidental related work. c.)
Electrical - Replace all interior lighting as directed by the plans,
install a complete new fire alarm system, replace intercom system,
install government furnished 100 KW diesel generator, provide new
services and additions as shown on the plans. d.) General - Provide for
all work required by the plans and specifications to ensure a complete
and useable project. The estimated cost range is between $250,000 to
$500,000. Subject solicitation will be issued as unrestricted and
subject to the evaluation criteria contained in DFAR 252.219-7003,
NOTICE OF EVALUATION PREFERENCE FOR SMALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS
CONCERNS - CONSTRUCTION ACQUISITIONS - TEST PROGRAM (APR 1996). Replies
to this notice are requested for SIC Code 1542, General Contractors -
Nonresidential Buildings, Other Than Industrial Buildings and
Warehouses. Quotes/Bids received from all responsible sources shall be
considered. Requests for plans and specifications may be made by FAX.
