The Product Manager Tactical Endurance Synthetic Aperture Radar (TESAR) intends to procure up to six (6) TESAR radar payloads for integration on to the Predator Medium Altitude Endurance Unmanned Air Vehicle. This procurement will be sole source supplemental agreement to the Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD) contract with Northrop Grumman Corp., Baltimore, MD. The TESAR radar has been developed under and ACTD contract and is designed for operation on the Predator UAV. The radar is composed of a Receiver Transmitter, a COTS based Processor and Antenna. The radar operates in the Ku band and produces strip map imagery at a l ft. resolution. Image formation processing is performed on-board and is transmitted over satellite to the Predator Ground Control Station via a Ku band Lockheed Martin data link at 1.5 Mb/sec. The radar is fully integrated to the Predator airborne computer, the data link, and a Litton LN 100G IMU. (0306)
