Officer, 301-975-6330 The National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST) intends to enter into a contract with Mr. Jesse
Crusey of Damascus, Maryland under the authority of 41 U.S.C.
253(c)(1), only one responsible source, to provide services to lead,
assess, and document methods on proposed international industrial data
standards that are in the development and review cycle of ISO
TC184/SC4/Quality Committee. Mr. Crusey is highly qualified to
undertake the work as he has the in-depth knowledge of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) directives, the
series of SC4 standing documents which prescribe requirements for these
documents, quality principles, the technical and document structure of
the standards, data modeling concepts (IDEFO, IDEF1x and EXPRESS) and
the SC4 Organization handbook (contains policies and procedures). Mr.
Crusey has the credentials and the past successful record which
demonstrates his ability to coordinate the work and leverage the
available voluntary experts to accomplish the Production Support Team
goals. He is therefore uniquely qualified to perform under this
contract. The Government anticipates award of a labor hour contract
with a period of performance from 01 January 1997 to 30 September 1997.
The number of man hours is approximately 872. This notice of intent is
not a request for competitive proposals. Responses shall contain
sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill
the requirement. A solicitation is not available. See Numbered Note 22
