This is a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with McDonnell Douglas Corp, Monrovia, CA, to procure Contract Field Services for Mast Mounted Sight and Test Support System (MMS/TSS) for OH58- D Kiowa Aircraft at Fort Bragg, NC, for the period 1 December 1996 through 30 September 1997 (plus one 1-year option period). Contractor to provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to provide Contract Field Services. Contract Field Service Representatives (CFSRs) shall provide technical assistance to government personnel in assembly, installation, testing, operations, calibration, training and maintenance of MMS/TSS. Responsible sources may respond to this notice and submit information identifying their capability to meet the specified requirement. This information will be considered only if the information (technical and pricing) submitted is clear and convincing that the organization can meet the specified requirements. This is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of this synopsis publication shall be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Due to automation of the Bidder's Mailing List, certain pertinent information is required before vendors can be added to the list. It is therefore required that all responses include the vendor's business size. For determining business size the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7629/$5 million.
