The Phoenix Area Indian Health Service (PAIHS) is soliciting proposals from qualified Buy-Indian firms to provide all necessary resources, personnel, drugs, supplies, equipment, facilities and other items and expertise necessary for or incident to providing medically necessary air medical transportation services for patients referred by the PAIHS, Whiteriver Service Unit, Whiteriver, Arizona and the PAIHS, San Carlos Service Unit, San Carlos, Arizona. In addition to other factors, contract award will be made based upon reimbursement at rates no higher than the prevailing Medicare allowable rates (including deductibles and co-payment). This is in accordance with the IHS Payment Policy (Federal Register, Vol. 51 No. 125, Monday, June 30, 1986, pages 23540-41). Period of performance will be for one year with four (1) - year options to extend. Closing date for receipt of proposals is December 18, 1996, 4:30 p.m., local time.
