purpose of obtaining a Market Survey for the Peacekeeper Canister
system continuous engineering and Air Elevator Programmed Depot
Maintenance effort. This activity is a part of the Peacekeeper
preventative maintenance program to assure operational integrity of the
force. It is anticipated that a single contract will be awarded for
this effort. The canister system continuous engineering support will
require the bidder to have design, development, test, and manufacturing
knowledge of the PK canister system. The bidder must be capable of
conducting engineering analysis of the Peacekeeper canister system and
provide technical assistance to the System Program Office. The bidder
must have a thorough system knowledge to support mishap investigation
boards, conduct structural analyses, direct laboratory analysis of
failed hardware and develop concept proposals to implement problem
resolution. The bidder must possess sufficient PK system knowledge to
establish an assessment program, gather the failure data, develop
technical solutions to correct adverse trends, etc. The bidder will be
required to perform programmed depot maintenance on the PK canister
air elevator and other associated equipment to return these items to
the operational inventory. In addition, the bidder must work from
original design data and manufacturing process specifications to assure
products meet original nuclear surety certification. The bidder will be
required to utilize original manufacturing tooling to produce the
remanufactured items to assure the product meets the original weapon
system specifications. The offeror shall prepare and submit a knowledge
and capability demonstration plan. The plan shall include, but is not
limited to the following: Personnel: provide a detailed narrative for
each person involved with the program, specifically describing his/her
Peacekeeper experience and the function of each person. Tooling:
provide list of PK canister original manufacturing tooling expected to
be utilized to remanufacture the air elevators and associated
sub-assemblies. Processes: identify the original PK canister
manufacturing process specifications that will be utilized in this
