AUTOMATED SURFACE OBSERVING SYSTEM (ASOS), AVIATION WEATHER OBSERVING SYSTEM (AWOS), AND CONTRACT WEATHER OBSERVATION SERVICES (CWOS) THROUGHOUT THE GREAT LAKES REGION POC Submit request in writing to Federal Aviation Administration, 2300 East Devon Ave., Des Plaines IL 60018-4686 for the Screening Information Request (SIR) application, Attn: AGL-72. Required work will consist of weather observation services for the ASOS, AWOS, and CWOS, at various locations within the FAA Great Lakes Region. Offerors, who are engaged in the above services for the Federal Government for at least five (5) years, may request the SIR application. These applications will be evaluated by the FAA Integrated Product Team (IPT), to establish a qualified vendor list, based on the evaluation criteria setforth in the SIR application. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated by the FAA IPT. Vendors who are determined to be qualified by the FAA IPT, must provide weather observers certified by the National Weather Service (NWS), at the time services commence. The SIR applications to be issued on or about November 4, 1996. Responses to the SIR shall be submitted on November 15, 1996, 4:00 pm, CST. See Numbered Note(s): 22.
