The Oklahoma Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC) will begin to provide Engineering Data Lists/Bid Data on CD-ROM disks for acquisition solicitations. Aperture Cards will not be provided for requirements initiated after 1 Dec 96. It may take several weeks, or even months, before CD-ROMs will be issued with solicitations. The impending process will provide complete data packages necessary to bid on center requirements. Data that was previously provided upon request (R coded) will be included on the CD-ROM. Contractors will no longer have to request additional data from the Contracting Officer. This process should streamline current procedures and provide more timely support to OC-ALC contractors. To be able to view the CD-ROMs provided, a PC with a CD-ROM reader will be needed, but the software to read the data will be provided on the CD-ROM. Point of contact is Larry Hahn (405) 739-5283.
