W -- RENTAL OF A 1200 CFM OIL FREE COMPRESSOR AND RELATED EQUIPMENT SOL N00102-97-R-0420 DUE 112896 POC Ms. Debra Moulton, Code 533.3G or Mr. Jack Balz, Contracting Officer at 207-438-2567 Item 0001 - Rental of a compressed air system capable of delivering 1200 CFM of dry, oil free air at 125 PSIG. THe system shall consist of a diesel powered air cooled, oil-free air compressor unit (no oil is allowed to enter the air compression chamber); an after-cooler unit, an air dryer unit; hoses and related equipment to hook the units together. The units shall be portable and easily moved by forklift or overhead crane without special handling gear. The units shall be capable of operating continuously 24 hours daily except for routine maintenance. The units shall be designed for outside operation, exposed to snow, wind and rain in a -10 F to 100 F environment and meet all ASME and NEC code requirements for this type of equipment. The vendor shall provide a firm fixed price regardless of hours used. Compressor shall provide Grade D quality air in accordance with ANSI/CGA G-7.1 of 1989. All piping shall be free of loose scale, rust, and material foreign to the air system. The air dryer shall be capable of drying 1200 CFM to a dew point of 35 F under pressure. Unit discharge temperature shall be 35 F (or less) above ambient. The vendor shall maintain a stringent maintenance program and be responsible for all routine maintenance, except for daily check of liquid levels. The vendor shall provide oil, filters, coolant, and lubricant for engine and compressor for duration of rental. Equipment shall be delivered in first class operating condition with complete operating instructions. The unit shall be wired electrically to enable a single point shipyard connection and equipped with 50 ft of cable to enable this electrical connection. Vendor is to supply and adapter to enable the Shipyard to reduce the piping outlet to 1 1/2'' NPT if necessary. Item 0002 - 3'' I.D. air hose rated a 400 PSI operating pressure, double wire braid, 50 ft lengths: Item 0003 - ASME certified 150 cu ft skid mounted air receiver tank with safety valves: Item 0004 - 550 gallaton fuel tank.All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
