cesium ions with a mass analyzed, micro focussed scanning ion beam
meeting the following minimum specifications. The minimum beam diameter
for 15 KeV cesium ions at a working distance of 20 millimeters shall be
2 micrometers or less. The minimum beam energy from the cesium ion gun
shall be 0.5 KeV. The maximum beam energy shall be 15 KeV or more. The
cesium ion gun shall be capable of a maximum beam current of 400
nanoamps for 15 KeV cesium ions. The maximum current density for 15 KeV
cesium ions at a 20 millimeter working distance shall be 30 amps per
centimeter square as a minimum. It is intended to award a contract to
Atomike Instruments GmbH, Bruckmannring 40, D-85764
