T -- REFURBISH MAN ROLAND 63'' PRINTING PRESS SOL NMA100-97-R-5014 DUE 120496 POC Point of Contact: Contract Specialist, Linda Grasso (301) 227-2302, Contracting Officer, Diane Alcott, (301) 227-2235 The National Imagery and Mapping Agency is refurbishing its Man Roland 63'' 5 color Printing Press for the Consolidated Printing and Distribution Facility (CPDF). The refurbishment includes some upgrade to the press The upgrade include equipment necessary for waterless printing and blanket and impression cylinder cleaning. The MAN Roland 63'' Printing Press is a Series 805-7B, S/N 6926 purchased in 1987. This printing press has been running on a three shift operation for five of the last seven years. This exceeds the Joint Committee on Printing's (JCP) recommended life span of 20 years based on single shift operation. The contract shall require that contractor remove the Man Roland 63 printing press from the Ruth Building in Bethesda, Md., refurbish at contractor s site, upgrade per statement of work, install the rebuilt press in Arnold, Mo.
