Fire Extinguishing Systems Design is to be in Huntsville, AL, 28 Jul-1 Aug 97. Option FY98 session scheduled for 27-31 July 1998. This course teaches the basic knowledge and skills necessary for the design, calculation, and review of automatic fire extinguishing systems. The Corps of Engineers requires personnel involved in fire extinguishing system design to be familiar with all systems. Fire Protection Engineering (Basic) is to be in Huntsville, AL as follows: 24-28 March 1997 and 28 April-2 May 1997. Option FY98 sessions are as follows: 23-27 March 1998 and 27 April-1 May 1998. This course teaches architects and engineers the necessary skills and knowledge required to implement the fundamental considerations of fire protection in building design and construction. Contractor shall provide an instructor team of two personnel for each course. Both instructors shall be at the course site throughout the course. Other technical evaluation criteria will be set forth in the solicitation scheduled to be issued on or about 26 November 1996. Copies of the solicitation shall be obtained by written request without cost. Telephonic requests will not be honored. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The Standard Industrial Code applicable to this procurement is 8999. For the purpose of this solicitation, any concern whose gross annual receipts over the past 3 years does not exeed an average of $5,000,000 is considered a small business.
