C -- A/E SERVICES - RENOVATE CANTEEN SOL RFP 554-07-97 DUE 120696 POC Noella Pregill, Contract Officer (303-393-2849) This Project, Renovate Canteen, Project 554-201, located at the VA Medical Center, Denver, Colorado, requires A/E services for the following tasks: a) A preliminary design phase will be required which will lead to the preparation of complete Bid Documents, and will include complete construction period services. A single negotiated contract is anticipated, with a selected A/E firm as recommended by the A/E Evaluation Panel. The project is scheduled for design and construction award in FY97. The award of all A/E contracts is subject to funding from the VISN 19 network. The general acope of this project is the renovation and expansion of the existing canteen (except retail store), located on the ground floor of Building 24, of this Medical Center. The kitchen, food prep, food delivery, storage and dining areas will be renovated, and will also include substantial HVAC, electrical and other utility modifications. The selected A/E will also be required to interface its design program with a large equipment and furnishings contract as managed by VA Central Office Canteen Service, which will be ongoing during/after the construction of this project. The various A/E services as may be required under this contract will follow the Special Provisions Articles for Architect-Engineer Contract, as published by VA Standards and are available from the Contracting Officer of this Medical Center.
