Fitch, Contracting Officer (90C1) A/E services required to prepare final design drawings, specifications and final cost estimate for the following work at Buildings 18 & 50 of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Edward Hines Hospital, Hines Illinois (Hines IL. is located approximately 13 miles west of Downtown Chicago). Services will include, but are not limited to the design development, working drawings, contract documents, cost estimates and construction period services needed to renovate approximately 26,000 GSF of space. Scope of work for the 3rd floor of Bldg 18, is to renovate existing student quarters to administrative offices. Scope of work for the 2nd floor of Bldg 50 is for the enlargement & modernization of existing administrative offices. Design shall include, demolition, installation of walls, doors, flooring, electrical, plumbing, A/C work, lighting and ceiling work and asbestos removal. Firms experienced in this type of work and located within a 100 miles radius of Hines Illinois, are requested to submit a SF-254 & SF-255 to this hospital as well as documentation showing successful completion of at least three similiar type jobs by close of business December 6, 1996.
