in Contact with Foodstuffs, Pharmaceuticals and Drinking Water -
Specification (10 pages). 6. Description of content: This Standard
specifies the requirements and methods of sampling and testing for
polycarbonate materials for the manufacture of items used in contact
with foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals and drinking water. This Standard does
not purport to establish suitability of polycarbonate in contact with
particular foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals or drinking water, from other
than toxicological considerations. 7. Objective and rationale:
