This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DAAL01-96-R-9856. This acquisition is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-42. The following is a list of contract line item numbers and items, quantities and units of measure. CLIN 0001 - Fabricate and deliver one Zeta Potential Analyzer to include the following: 1 each; 0001AA AcoustoSizer Particle Characterization System consisting of Electroacoustic Measuring Cell; sensors for measuring pH, conductivity and temperature; high speed mixer; fully embedded 32-bit microcomputer; AccoustoSizer operating software; computer hardware to include a high resolution monitor, a keyboard with mouse, and a Hewlett Packard Diskjet Color Printer; AcoustoSizer Software; Calibration Standard and Reference material, 500 ml each. CLIN 0001AB - AcoustoSizer Plus Automated Titration to include a computer controlled double piston automatic titrator and AcoustoSizer Plus Titration software. CLIN 0001AC - Model 8050 Computer controlled ESA Measurement System consisting of a sample cell assembly (No. SSP-1); a MBS-8000 Ultrasonic Instrumentation including Frequency Synthesizer; Data Acquisition Computer Interface Boards; ESA Software Package; a Ludox TM ESA Probe Calibration Standard, 500 ml; a Data Acquisition System (No. DAS-2).
