The Bureau of the Public Debt, Office of Administration, intends to issue a request for information on commercially available PC, LAN based Records Management Systems. The primary purposes are: (1) Link retention scheduled data to stored, borrowed, and destroyed record indexes, (2) Retrieve documents by searching the data fields, (3) Notify predetermined individuals of borrowing or storing requests, (4) Calculate statistics on system usage, (5) Automate the process of comparing physical inventory to record keeping inventory, and (6) Print Standard Forms and Bureau reports. The system is to retain information on 90,000 records and 4,000 borrowing transactions. The total number of users is to be 150 with 20 concurrent users.
