COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF NOVEMBER 8,1996 PSA#1718Commander, Naval Air Systems Command (Code 2.0), 1421 Jefferson Davis
Hwy, Arlington, Va 22243-5120 J -- STANDARD DEPOT LEVEL MAINTENANCE FOR H-60 AIRCRAFT POC Contact,
Carolyn Barrow, Phone (703)604-2000 The Naval Air Systems Command
intends to issue fixed-priced orders to Sikorsky Aircraft Division,
Stratford, Connecticut under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-96-G-0022
for Standard Depot Level Maintenance (SDLM) for the SH-60B/F and
HH-60H airframes (estimated quantity of eight airframes). These orders
will not remove workload from the government depot site, Corpus
Christi Army Depot (CCAD), but will create an additional source to
handle the SDLM backlog that is over and above CCAD's core workload for
FY 1997. Sikorsky Aircraft Division is the sole designer and producer
of the H-60 aircraft and is the only firm that possesses the knowledge,
data, and experienced personnel required to manufacture this aircraft
within the timeframes required to meet the operational requirements of
the fleet. Aircraft deliveries will be required within ten months of
their induction. It is anticipated that no more than two aircraft will
be inducted each quarter year for a total of eight aircraft. See note
