Michelle Davy, Contract Specialist, 606-253-8892. The Federal Bureau of
Prisons intends to award a nonpersonal service contract to the
qualified individual or business capable of providing physical therapy
assistant services to the inmate population housed at the Federal
Medical Center, Lexington, KY. Services include but are not limited to:
assisting in the design and implementation of new approaches and
methods to physical therapy based on knowledge of specific patient
problems and protocols, providing specialized physical therapy care to
patients or groups, planning and executing physical therapeutic
treatment procedures to improve the condition of inmates, monitoring
the condition of inmates, writing objective progress reports on
assigned patients and assisting in the monitoring of safety and
sanitation. Requirements include: graduate of a Physical Therapy
Assistant program and possess a valid license to practice as a physical
therapy assistant. The contract period will include a base year, not to
exceed twelve months from date of award, with four, one year option
periods for renewal. This is a nonpersonal service, not to exceed 30
hours per week, and not a personnel appointment. The anticipated issue
date of solicitations is November 20, 1996, with an anticipated
receipt of offers due by December 17, 1996. Requests for proposal
