Los Alamos National Laboratory, under prime contract to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is interested in subcontracting with a fully qualified firm(s) capable of providing facility support services. Services include general plant, utility systems, infrastructure operations and maintenance, fire protection services, custodial operation and waste removal, and other related services. The proposed subcontract for support services is intended to be used primarily to support the Laboratory's centralized Facilities, Security, and Safeguards (FSS) Division, and Facility Managers who operate and oversee all Laboratory facilities. A cost-plus performance-base fee subcontract (i.e., a subcontract containing multiple fee arrangements to award outstanding performance) is anticipated with a total estimated cost of $77M a year. The term of any resulting subcontract will be for a basic period of five (5) years with one unilateral option on the part of the Laboratory to extend the subcontract for an additional five (5) years.
