The Federal Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office, Dallas, Texas, plans to issue solicitation IFB 242-0016 for a fully automatic wet pipe sprinkler system in various buildings at the Federal Prison Camp in El Paso, Texas. The work required by this contract shall include, sizing, building and furnishing all labor and materials for the complete installation and testing of the system. This is a wet pipe system employing automatic sprinklers attached to a piping system containing water and connected to a water supply so that water discharges immediately from sprinklers opened by fire. The system includes pipe, fittings, valves, sprinklers, specialties and accesories. The estimated magnitude of this contract is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The solicitation package will be available on or about November 22, 1996 with an anticipated bid opening on or about December 31, 1996.
