The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Purchase Branch Philadelphia, is seeking sources of supply to provide a Waterbrake and Torque Element to be used with an Allied Signal Enhanced TF40B Gas Turbine Engine. The brake is to be mounted as a cantilever off the inlet housing of the engine. The brake must be water lubricated with three inch inlet and outlet ports. It must be capable of providing load for an engine capable of producing 5,500 SHP at 16,000 RPM with an overspeed limit at 17,000 RPM. Allied Signal Part Number: Waterbrake - LTCT10624-06.
