This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-42. The Standard Industrial Code is 2531 and small business size standard is 500. DESCRIPTION: Shell, Mobile Sound. Hydraulically operated canopy, hydraulically operated stage deck, acoustical body panels for superior forward sound projection. Weather and vandal resistant materials. Non-corrosive exterior body panels and a non-skid, weather-resistant stage floor. Mainframe is constructed from two (2) 18'' deep x 3'' wide x 3/16'' thick, seamless, one-piece steel channels integrated into structural truss tube. All-steel members shall be phosphate primed with a zinc-rich primer and painted with gray enamel top coat. Mainframe is undercoated with solvent based undercoating which resists cracking and chipping when exposed to road vibrations, rocks and gravel. A 60000 lb capacity pintle ring shall be bolted to tongue at front of backbone frame. Shell shall be equipped with safety chains and electric breakaway switch with battery. A 25000 lb crank adjustable hitch jack shall be welded at coupler end of shell. Tongue length shall allow sufficient clearance for turning. Tour (4) 25000 lb maximum lift capacity crank adjustable jacks shall be attached to the frame, one at each corner. Jacks shall be capable of raising stage from minimum height of 48'' up to 61''. Each jack shall have a 10''x12'' jack foot. Jacks shall swivel to prevent damage during transit. Two additional 35000 lb capacity mainframe drop legs support live load on main stage. Bubble-type levels shall be attached to stage frame for ease of leveling. A total of 4 levels shall be installed, with 2 sets of two at opposite corners. Shell stage structure shall meet or exceed minimum live load code requirements of 125 lbs psf and minimum wind load requirement of 35mph. A 21000 lb triple axle, heavy-duty, steel leaf, suspension shall be provided, equipped with six (6) wheel electric brakes and six (6) highway rated, 1200 x 16.5 12 ply tubeless tires load range F rated at 4,045 lbs each. Fenders shall be installed over the tires. Two sets of portable 48'' wide stairs with handrails shall be provided. Stairs are 18 gauge steel construction with non-skid surface. Stairs shall have 7/11 slope, enclosed risers and handrail dimensions to meed ADA code. Exterior surface of panels shall be covered with TEDLAR, a graffiti resistant surface. Exterior color is white, interior color is gray. Deck is seamless three-part, 1-78'' thick. Deck is gray. 1'' polystyrene core, sandwiched between two 3/8'' plywood layers. Canopy shall completely cover stage deck. OPTIONS: Premium anti-corrosion upgrade, exterior floodlight, compartment light, pro-sound system, includes: 2 speakers, 4 mikes, stands & cables, professional theatre light pkg. #2, portable light bars, 2 pairs, electrical upgrade pkg-100 amp main, additional outlets, wiring, etc. 5kw generator in soundproof cabinet, skirt, hydraulic leveling/support system, hinged end panels, 2 5/16'' ball coupler and surge brakes.
