R -- EQUIP AND MAINTAIN THE NLM READING ROOM PUBLIC PHOTOCOPIER FACILITY SOL RFP NLM 97-103/RMC DUE 122696 POC Robin M. Cummings, Contracting Officer, (301) 496-6546 The National Library of Medicine (NLM) is seeking qualified offerors to provide photocopy service in the main Reading Room for the NLM's onsite patrons. The Photocopier Facility shall include eight (8) regular photocopiers, one (1) handicapped accessible photocopier, and an attached vending system that fully interfaces with NLM's current Debit Cards/Patron Cards. Vending equipment for the two (2) NLM-owned reader-printer machines shall be included. The Debit Cards/Patron Cards are CR-50, 4000 Oersted, high security, plastic cards. The NLM prefers new equipment; however, reconditioned/refurbished equipment, warranted the same as new and in excellent condition, will be accepted. Factory authorized service contracts available from the manufacturers of the photocopiers shall be acquired and maintained for the photocopier equipment throughout the life of the contract. One or more employees for a six (6) day, Monday through Saturday, forty (40) hour week shall also be provided. The employee(s) shall maintain and resupply the equipment for the Photocopier Facility and help patrons with vending problems and demonstrate the system equipment to patrons who need help. The Photocopy Facility shall be available to NLM patrons during the hours that the library is open to the public - Regular Hours (Labor Day through Memorial Day): Monday through Wednesday and Friday, 8:30am through 5:00pm; Thursday, 8:30am through 9:00pm; and Saturday, 8:30am through 12:30pm. Summer Hours (Memorial Day through Labor Day): Monday through Friday, 8:30am through 5:00pm; and Saturday, 8:30am through 12:30pm. Request for Proposals (RFP) NLM 97-103/RMC will be available approximately fifteen (15) days from publication date of this notice. This procurement is a 100 percent small business set-aside. The SIC Code is 7334.
