Material, labor, and services to fabricate and test one (1) 20'' diameter slide gate valve which will be used for isolation and containment of high pressure and high temperature nitrogen gas in a hypersonic wind tunnel, located at the NASA Plum Brook Facility, Sandusky, Ohio, under contract NAS3-26951. The valve shall be constructed of alloy steels, which are nickel plated. The valve shall be constructed and tested in accordance with ASME Pressure Vessel Codes. The valve components are water jacketed and nitrogen purged. The valve is hydraulically actuated. Final engineering drawings and specifications will be provided by NASA for fabrication and testing of this valve. Preliminary drawings and specifications ware available immediately and can be requested immediately in order to provide estimated time schedules. Delivery is critical and a final product should be available to deliver in the January-February 1997 time frame. The proposal due date will be December 9, 1996 with an award anticipated to be made within 2-3 weeks thereafter. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered.
