``MOVING FORWARD WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE'' - ELECTRONIC ACCESS OF THE DLA BID BOARDS, PLUS A SPECIAL SESSION ON DOD QUALITY INITIATIVES Companies interested in learning more about accessing the DLA Electronic Bid Boards are invited to participate in a workshop on November 21, 1996 in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania located minutes from the Naval Inventory Control Point Mechanicsburg and Defense Distribution Region East. The event will include live access of the Bid Boards maintained by the Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC), Defense Industrial Supply Center (DISC), Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) and Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC). In addition the workshop will include a special session on DoD's initiatives associated with the acceptance of commercial quality standards including a discussion of ISO 9000 and the impact of the cancellation of MIL-I-45208A and MIL-Q-9858. The event is sponsored by the Procurement Technical Assistance Center of SEDA-Council of Governments in cooperation with the Defense Contracts Management Command (DCMC) Reading.
