(757) 628-4635 Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to
perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following
minimum items: (1) Renew ship service diesel generator, (2) Upgrade
power and lighting systems, (3) Rudder assembly removal, inspection,
and reinstallation, (4) Upgrade engine room ventilation, (5) Overhaul,
renew, and test valves, (6) Tank cleaning and inspection, (7) Preserve
ballast tanks, (8) Remove and dispose of fuel oil and replenish tanks,
(9) Overhaul air capstan, (10) Inspect, overhaul and test appleton
crane, (11) Inspect various deck fittings, (12) Preserve barge buoy
deck, (13) Routing drydocking, (14) Provide Temporary Logistics.
Indefinite items include but are not limited to the following: (1)
Inspection and repairs of Government-furnished shaft, (2) Welding
repairs, (3) Renew shaft strut barrel, (4) Renew port bearing housing
and upper bearing housing support, (7) Renew rudder lower bearing
trunk, (8) Minor coating repairs, (9) Zinc anode, (10) Main engine
realighment, (11) Provide additional temporary logistics. Vessel
availability schedule is 03 MAR 97 for 67 days. Vessel length is 75
Foot River Buoy Tender and 130 feet. The vessel homeport is Sallisaw,
OK. Vessel is restricted as follows: Restricted to the Western Rivers
of the United sTates. The ''Western Rivers'' means the navigable
portions of Mississippi River and its tributaries above mile 0 of the
Lower Mississippi River. Navigable tributaries of the mississippi River
include only the waterways within the areas of jurisdiction of Coast
Guard Aids to Navigation Facilities as described in Light List Volume
V (COMDTINST M16502.5), and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway to the
mouth of the Mobile River. This include protected portions of the INtra
Coastal wAterway connected to the ''Western Rivers'', but specifically
excludes unprotected or open waters such as Mobile Bay, Lake Borne, or
the Gulf of Mexico. This availability will be performed at the
contractor's facility. A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of
a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard
for requested drawings. Orders must be placed within ten (10) days of
solicitation issuance. The proposed contract listed here is part of the
Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and
specifications will be issued on or after 03 DEC 96 from out office
location, Commander (vpl-1), Maintenance, & Logistics Command,
Atlantic, 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the
