for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This
solicitation F45613 96BA004 is issued as an IFB. The solicitation
document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through
Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. SIC Code is 5082, Small Business
Size Standard is 500 employees. This requirements is for 1 ea Asphalt
Paver (MFR: Gilcrest - Model: 813RT, P/N: 813/PROPAVER or equal) and 1
ea Asphalt Patching Unit (MFR: North Star Industries - P/N: BC-35M or
equal). Required characteristics, as a minimum for the Asphalt Paver
are as follows: Self propoelled, 7.5 ton hopper with conveyor, bolt-on
rubber track pads, hydraulic depth control, 16' capable screed, 18''
bolt-on extensions with auger (right and left sides), 18'' bolt on
extensions adjustable sloping for use with 16' screed, second operators
seat, and one additional operators/parts manual. Required
characteristics, as a minimum, for the Asphalt Patching unit are as
follows: 3 cubic yard hopper with conveyor belt, fold up legs,
hydraulic rear door and top doors, 45 gallon hydraulic driven emulsion
spray system, 10 gallon solvent tank with hydraulic drive pump, 18 HP
LPG engine with electric start, 25 gallon LPG tank, hydraulic tool
circuit with dripless Q.D.'s electric heat system, compactor plate lift
platform, sand spreader spinner assembly, hopper thermometer (0-300),
weather proof control box, emulsion tank ``Y'' strainer, black paint,
hydraulic jack hammer 3r67,8'' asphalt cutter, and 6'' square tamper
pad. Product Literature is required to be submitted for review on each
piece of equipment within 5 business days after quotes are due. (This
is to allow mail time for literature that cannot be faxed with bids.)
Delivery shall be within 120 calendar days after award. Offerors may

IAW FAR 12.205(b), offerors are encouraged to submit bids on more than
one unit that will meet these requirements, which will be evaluated
