The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI). MARCORSYSCOM is presently conducting a market investigation to determine who in industry can provide a Fire Fighting System (FFS) with the following characteristics: a) The FFS shall be capable of fighting Class A and B fires with a singular agent, b) The FFS shall have a stand-off fire fighting capability, c) The FFS shall be capable of delivering adequate agent, without use of external supply, to extinguish a class B fire with a burning surface area of 80'X80' or greater d) The FFS shall have the capability to allow the firefighter freedom of movement up to 150 feet or more from the FFS e) The FFS shall be capable of delivering a stream of agent no less than 50 feet from a nozzle at a 45 degree up angle, f) The FFS shall be capable of fitting into the cargo space of a military HMMWV vehicle. Dimensions not to exceed: L 84'' W 48 '' H 25''. MAX weight is 2550 pounds (wet), g) The FFS shall be capable of air transportability, and h) The FFS shall be capable of mission completion without loss of performance when used in cold weather environments.
