This is a notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Riegl USA, Inc to obtain four (4) each Laser Scout 1000 Distance Measuring Instruments for NOAA/NOS/NGS, Instrumentation and Methodologies Branch, Corbin, Virginia. The units are to include the following features: Model-Laser Scout 1000, Measuring range: (Dependent on reflectance of target) min-5 meter, maximum range: (bright sunlight/dawn, dusk, night) 1200/greater than 2000m to trees, bushes; 1500/greater than 2500m to masonry, stones, etc, at max-3500m to glass reflector prism; accuracy: typically +/-20 cm; Measurement Tim: (selectable) 0.5-1-2-4-6 adaptive; Divergence of beam: 1.8mrad; Sighting Optics: 3x20 monocular, Reticle crossed hairs; Data interface: RS232 NMEA format, instrument case, accessory case, shoulder stock w/wooden butt, inclination adjustable; shoulder stock w/wooden butt, inclination and length adjustable. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals within fifteen days of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
