301-496-2501. This is a notice of intent that the National Institutes
of Health under the authority of 41 USC(c)(1)-FAR 6.302-1 intends to
negotiate and award a sole source contract to Trionix Research
Laboratory of Twinsburg, Ohio for the on-call maintencne (including
preventative maintenance) and support for three Government-owned
Trionix multi-headed camera systems; BIAD SN 111, TRIAD SN#TXLT20-223
Located at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in
Bethesda, Maryland. These services (maintenance as well as support) are
considered to be commercial services. The Contractor shall be required
to keep the equipment in good operating condition. The Contractor
shall furnish all necessary personnel, labor, special tools, diagnostic
equipment, parts, materials, supplies and travel to provide the
required technical support and expertise for on-call repairs (which
includes preventative maintenance) of the Government-owned Trionix
equipment listed above. Additionally, the Contractor shall be required
to furnish and support all system software including any Contractor
sponsored standard modification or revision thereof, at no additional
cost for the duration of the contract, including renewals thereof. The
support provided shall consist of correction of errors, provision of
Contractor sponsored standard modifications, improvements, revisions
and upgrades. The Government shall be provided with full documentation
of all Contractor changes and/or modifications to the software. The
operating software required to make use of the Trionix equipment shall
be supported by the Contractor. Operating software refers to those
routines that interface directly with hardware peripheral devices, the
computer operations and applications and utility programs. The
software furnished shall conform to and perform in accordance with the
Contractor's functional description and data requirements. The
maintenance period shall be for twelve (12) months with four (4)
successive twelve month option periods. Trionix is the only known firm
that can provide the maintenance and support services which meet all
of the Government's minimum requirements. All responses must be written
and received by the individual at the address noted above within 15
calendar days from the publication date of this notice. Oral
communication is not acceptable and will not be honored. A Statement of
Work is available upon request. Responses requesting the solicitation
without providing the required documentation (see next paragraph) shall
not be considered. There is no solicitation document. Concerns that
respond to this notice will be considered only if furnishing clear and
convincing documentation demonstrating their ability to meet, at a
minimum, the stated Government requirements. Written responses should
contain sufficient technical information and a description of the
proposed plan for meeting the requirements, in order to permit agency
analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the stated
requirements and should be directed to Ann Argaman at the address
above. A determination by the Government to open the requirement to
competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the
discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for
prepartation or submission of any information submitted in response to
this synopsis. See Numbered Note 22. Notwithstanding Numbered Note 22,
written responses to this synopsis must be received at the address
noted above within 15 calendar days from the publication date of this
