materials, equipment and labor associated with the construction of
upgrade of base facilities at Bangor International Airport (ANG),
Bangor, Maine for the Maine Air National Guard. Work consists of
construction of a Vehicle Maintenance Shops, Medical Training Facility,
and Addition/Alteration (ADAL) of the Aerospace Support Equipment
Facilities. Simultaneous construction of the Vehicle Maintenance Shops
and Medical Training Facility is desired with time-phased construction
of the ADAL Aerospace Support Equipment Facility upon successful
completion of the Vehicle Maintenance Shop Facility. VEHICLE
MAINTENANCE SHOPS: construction consists of a 13,600 SF building with
reinforced concrete slab and foundation, structural steel frame, steel
trusses on steel columns; single ply fully adhered membrane roofing
system over steel deck on open web steel joists; exterior walls are
brick veneer on an insulated steel stud backup with gypsum wall
finished on the inside; interior wall of CMU, gypsum wall board and
plaster; suspended ceilings, acoustical treatment; floors of vinyl
tile, ceramic tile, carpet, concrete with hardener; combination single
interlock preaction, air supervised, dry pipe sprinkler system and wet
pipe sprinkler system; radio frequency (RF) shielded enclosure;
compressed air system; 75 KVA single phase pole mounted transformers,
lighting systems, electrical/voice/data distribution and controls to
include cable trays; equipment grounding systems, oil fired heating
system, air handling and distribution system; fire alarm system; fall
protection system; hydraulic vehicle lift systems, gasoline and diesel
fuel dispensers, free standing canopy, electric overhead bridge crane
system, bituminous concrete parking lot an access road, loading dock,
construct water and sewer; provide site grading and drainage. MEDICAL
TRAINING FACILITY: Construction consists of a 9800 SF building with
reinforced concrete slab and foundation, structural steel frame, steel
trusses on steel columns: single ply fully adhered membrane roofing
system over steel deck on open web steel joists; exterior walls are
brick veneer on an insulated steel stud backup with gypsum wall
finished on the inside; interior wall of CMU, gypsum wall board an
plaster; suspended ceilings, acoustical treatment; floors of vinyl
tile, ceramic tile, carpet, concrete with hardener; combination single

handling and distribution system; chilled water system, security
intrusion alarm system; fire alarm system; construct foundations and
install 12 meter communication tower antenna; Government Furnished
Contractor Installed, dental, medical, X-Ray and Radiology Equipment,
bituminous concrete parking lot and access road, ambulance covered
parking area, construct water and sewer service; proved site grading
and drainage. ADD/ALTER AEROSPACE EQUIPMENT FACILITY: Construction
consists of a 4000 SG addition and the alteration of an existing 4000
SF building with reinforced concrete slab and foundation, structural
steel frame, steel trusses on steel columns; single ply fully adhered
membrane roofing system over steel deck on open web steel joists;
exterior walls are precast prestressed insulated concrete wall panels;
interior walls of CMU, gypsum wall board and plaster, suspended
ceilings, acoustical treatment; floors of vinyl tile, monolithic floors
systems; carpet, concrete with hardener; combination single interlock
preaction, air supervised, dry pipe sprinkler system and wet pipe
sprinkler system; radio frequency (RF) shielded enclosure; compressed
air system; 3 phase pad mounted transformer lighting systems,
electrical/voice/data distribution and controls to include cable trays;
equipment grounding systems, oil fired heating system, air handling and
distribution systems; fire alarm system; fall protection system;
electric overhead bridge crane system, bituminous concrete parking lot
and access road; construct water and sewer service; provide site
grading and drainage. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and
$5,000,000. Plans, specifications and bidding documents will be
available on or about 23 DEC 96. Cost of solicitation materials is
