Z -- DESIGN BUILD CONTRACT TO RENOVATE BLDGS 1169 AND 1167 INTO A ''WELCOME ABOARD'' CENTER AT NCBC PORT HUENEME, CA. SOL N47408-97-M-AG10 TBA DUE 112996 POC Contract Specialist, Marie Gibbs, Code 2713, 805-982-6932 This work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the rehabilitation of interior spaces and exterior building facades to building 1167 and 1169. Interior construction work shall consist of new private and open offices, classrooms/cnference rooms, lobby post office, restrooms and support areas for the consolidation of station military personnel services into a ''one stop'' center. The project also consists of installation of all interior and exterior architectural materials and finishes (i.e flooring, ceiling, walls, doors/harddware, etc), structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical. Interior work shall also include installation and procurement of all systems and standard office furniture and demountable partitions. All interior spaces of buildings 1167 and 1169 will be demolished by Government forces prior to the start of this contract. This is a Design/Build contract. Final building interior layouts and exterior treatment designs shall be based on Government provided design development drawings and specifications.Contractor/Designer shall implement all applicable design and construction requirements per the U.S Green Building Council''Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design'' (LEED) Building (trademark) Rating System prerequisites, latest edition, to the fullest extent as practicable. Building shall utilize natural ventilation, diffused natural lighting, energy efficient artificial illumination, water saving devices and constructed with environmentally friendly materials (i.e. flooring, wall, ceiling, insulation, etc). Estimated cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. SIC Code for this work is 1542, size standard $17.mil. This solicitation will be issued as unrestricted for full and open competition. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, award of any contract resulting from this solicitation will be made pursuant to the Small Business Competition Demonstration Program Criteria and therefore, this solicitation may not be set aside for Small Business Concerns. NOTICE TO ALL LARGE BUSINESS CONCERNS: A Subcontracting plan will be required prior to contract award if awarded to a Large Business Concern.
