Z -- FLOORING SOL F4168597T0034 DUE 121796 POC Contact John Murray, (210)298-4352/Contracting Officer, Jim Weed (210)298-5117 Flooring, access- Furnish all labor, tools, materials, equip., and transportation necessary to remove flooring acess panels & replace with new onesat Bldg 241, Laughlin AFB TX. Laughlin is located on Hwy 90, 155 miles west ofSan Antonio, near Del Rio TX. The existing access flooring shall be removed and transferred to Bldg 2025. Panels shall be compatible with existing under- structure(pedistals and stringers) manufactured by GH International Inc (series 900), which shall not be removed. The understructure is to be leveled to exist-ing panels height prior to installation of new flooring. Floors shall be levelwithin 1/6'' measured with a 10 ft straighedge in all directions. Additional supports to be provided at heavy equipment locations. Prior to installation of new panels, the existing understructure shall be grounded. Testing of electri- cal resistance in the completed installation to be IAW NFPA 99 at an average of 5 or more lacations and to be done in the presence of the contracting officer/ designee. The new flooring panels are 24 in. squares, made of steel encapsualted concrete core panels with hi-pressure laminated linoleum tile covering,color to be ''gray matrix''. Perforated panels shall be provided as required. The area to be covered is approx. 4140 Sq. Ft. Also, as needed provide flooring grommets and ''l-Trim'' for the protection of cables that penetrate this access flooring. Remove and replace cove base at areas receiving the new flooring. Cove base to be vinyl, 4'' high, at least 1/8'' thick. Color: light gray. Spare floor panels, complete pedistal assemblies and spare stringers to be furnished at rate of one spare for 100 existing assemblies or fraction therof. Each in- dividual room (there are 5) to be provided with one floor panel lifting device std. with the approved floor mfr'er. A site visit is highly recommended. Access flooring panels to be installed by a qualified contractor, authorized by the approved floor mfr'er and IAW the mfr'ers recommended procedures. Com- pleted floor shall be rigid and free of any loose or rocking panels, as warranted. Submittals: The contractor is reqd to submit the following docu- ments to contracting officer for approval prior to the start of work: A. Mfr'ers descriptive data and installation instructions. Also, cleaning & maintenance instructions. B. Mfr'ers color samples for floor finish and one cut, size 6'' sq. of the floor panel to be applied. c. Certificate of compli- ance attesting that the raised floor system meets specified requirements. The submittals shall be done via AF Form 3000, which is available from the contracting officer.
