The Volpe Center plans to procure sole-source through Simplified Acquisition procedures a purchse from Applied Research Associates, Inc., Vicksburg, MS in areas of risk assessment and risk avoidance. ARA will do analyses of structural and mechanical systems of new, as well as existing FAA facilities using a computer simulation and shall develop design criteria, design methodologies, and computer automated design tools for FAA facilities. ARA will conduct blast modeling analysis into the risk analysis/risk avoidance analysis. Small Business Firms classified under SIC CODE 8711 that are interested in proposing on this requirement must demonstrate in writing to the Contracting Officer, no later than 15 days from date of this synopsis publication that they possess blast modeling and analyses of structural and mechanical systems experience.
