59 -- REDESIGNED BRAKE CONTROL/ANTI-SKID SOL F42630-97-R-BBBBD POC For copy, Garth Johnstun/Likw/(801)777-7496, For additional information contact Garth Johnstun/Likw/(801)777-7496 The Government is performing a market survey by seeking to identify sources interested in bidding on a multiple year contract for the modification of the F-16 Aircraft Redesigned Brake Control/Anti-Skid System. This requirement was synopsized previously for a request for information under F42630-95-R-BBBBD. The Air Force has developed internally a replacement anti-skid/brake control box for the F-16 aircraft. Vendors have been qualified for this ''build to print'' requirement based on their manufacturing capability to produce the item. The competition is being expanded to consider ''off the shelf'' alternate design solutions from vendors with established anti-skid/brake control design, development, and production capability. To be considered, these alternates will have to meet qualification and performance requirements. This requirements will include, but are not limited to, system electrical/mechanical interface, braking performance, built in test (BIT) capability, and safety of flight and production qualification testing.
