A -- LIGHTWEIGHT STRUCTURAL EQUIPMENT FRAME SOL N47408-96-R-MW02 DUE 121696 POC Purchasing Agent, ROBIN WILCOX CODE 2711-9 (805) 982-5961 The Navy is seeking information which may or may not lead to a procurement involving materials, hardware, and construction methods that could be used to erect a lightweight structural equipment frame. The equipment frame must bridge across a maximum span of 50 feet and provide unrestricted access through a 30 x 11 foot wide center area. The frame must support a live load of 2000 pounds placed anywhere over the open span. The preferred embodiment is a modularized aluminum or composite assembly facilitating easy storage and transport with means for quick connections to form the assembly. Any information about candidate technologies or hardware for all or part of the task is requested. Interested sources who are able to supply such technical data are requested to submit their capabilities literature to the Commanding Officer, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Code 2711-9, Bldg 41, 1000 23rd Avenue, Port Hueneme, CA 93043-4301.
