20260-2668 D -- FIELD TELECOMMUNICATION SUPPORT FOR THE CORPORATE CALL MANAGEMENT
PROGRAM DUE 120496 POC Booker Weaver, Purchasing Specialist,
202-268-5669. The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is seeking
qualified/expert telecommunications specialist to perform services in
assisting and designing USPS call centers. The Corporate Call
Management (CCM) Initiative will be designed to improve levels of
customer satisfaction by standardizing customer telephone contacts with
the USPS. CCM presently resolves a constantly increasing volume of
customer telephone inquiries. The USPS plans to build the infrastucture
necessary for expansive and strategic telephone usage for the future,
which requires going beyond our current customer needs and exceeding
the needs of Postal field units, headquarters and CCM National Sales
Centers, which will require surveys, installations, and validation of
technology tools to implement properly. In an effort to secure
efficient information flow, and thereby attain increased customer
satisfaction, the USPS seeks a telecommunications vendor experienced in
the implementation of a call center technology and a national 800
number network. Extensive knowledge of telecommunications issues in the
call center industry is necessary. The vendor must be able to travel to
remote locations to survey current USPS field telecommunciations
operations. These surveys must evaluate installation potential of
telecommunications technology and consider installation applicability
of electronic equipment. In order to secure telecommunications
connectivity between USPS field units and the National Service Center
Network, the telecommunications vendor must also possess experience in
communicating specific needs, timeframes, and site requirements to
national telephone service providers. The qualified vendor should be
capable of processing work change orders for 80 to 100 Postal field
units per week. Monitoring and ensuring the quality of work performed
by telephone providers is essential. Therefore, quaified
telecommunications vendors will need to be familiar with provider
transfer procedures and processes, report on the outcome of these
transactions, and evaluate and recommend ways to improve them by
concluding each assignment with detailed reports. If your company is
interested in being considered for participation should a solicitation
be issued, you should submit a letter stating that your company is
interested in participating and is qualified to do so. Your response
must include company name, address, telephone number, federal tax ID
number, name(s) of the contact person(s), signature by an officer of
the company, and sufficient information to enable the USPS to determine
if your company is qualified to perform. Responses should be sent to
