The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Communications intends to issue a delivery order against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to renew services with Desktop Data, Inc. for use and access of its database for real time news wires via NewsEdge software/service with the capability to access wires such as UPI and Knight-Ridder. Databases must be accessible to up to 10 primary users simultaneously not necessarily in the same location. Service must be available via a local phone number with access up to 24 hours a day and an on-call help desk for troubleshooting. Written responses should include pricing information and technical data sufficient to determine capability and services to be provided. Responses must be received w/i 15 days after publication of this notice in order to be considered. No award will be based on any offer or proposal received in response to this notice. No sol. exists. If no responses received in the specified time frame, USDA shall renew with Desktop Data, Inc. against its BOA. No telephone calls will be accepted. (0324)
