Construction to include concrete work, paving, rough and finish carpentry, mechanical and plumbing systems, exterior and interior electrical work, communication systems (satellite relocation and connections, LAN, and public address), landscaping and a comprehensive interior design. Infrastructure work to include parking, sidewalks, and utilities (water, gas, sanitary sewer and electrical distribution). Demolition includes asbestos and lead-based paint abatement and disposal. The Government will provide preliminary site and utility layouts, grading plan, and functional room layouts and requirements for the new facility. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or about 4 December 1996 with technical and cost proposals due 4 February 1997. The magnitude of construction is between $5 million to $10 million. The costs of plans and specifications is $125.00. This charge is nonrefundable.
