Michael Dodd, Code SEA02522, (703)602-7900 ext 568 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occasions over the period of Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-97-G-5212 with DRS/Technology Applications and Service Co., Technical Services Division, 200 Professional Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20879. Orders will be issued for material and services required for the evaluation and implementation of product improvements\equipment changes for the AN\SPS-40E(V)2 Radar System. This includes conducting special studies, surveys, evaluations and tests to determine the feasibility and\or applicability of proposed equipment changes. It also includes the preparation of preliminary Field Change Bulletins; fabrication, proofing and\or testing of Field Change Kits; training and document changes (new and revised drawings, publications, etc). Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). Westinghouse Norden Systems is the original equipment manufacturer and sole producer of the AN\SPS-40 Radar. It is one of a limited number of responsible sources that possess the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment necessary to support the required AN\SPS-40 Radar tasks, and no other supplies or service will satisfy the Navy's requirements.
