Set-Aside. Removal of nonhazardous sandblast grit from designated areas
of work in accordance with normal industry standards and practices. The
procedures and scope of work consists of removing grit from the USCG
Cutter(s) exterior decks; cutter interior compartments; and the drydock
floor or other area within the U.S. Coast Guard YARD which shall be
designated by the Contract Administrator. Within 24 hours of oral
notification, the Contractor shall report to the designated work area,
as directed by the Contract Administrator. At various times during the
contract period, the contractor may be requested to provide more than
one truck and crew at a time. The Coast Guard intends to award a
contract for one base year and one option year. Estimated Quantity per
year 1,000 tons. See Numbered Note 1. ``This Notice is for
informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contract. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
