Supply, install, and maintain (on-call and scheduled preventative maintenance service) security systems located in federally owned and leased facilities throughout the United States, its territories and possessions. Security systems include but are not limited to the following: controlled access systems, closed circuit television (CCTV) systems, intercommunications systems, intrusion detection and sensing/signaling systems (i.e., motion detectors, door contact switches, heat detectors, duress or panic button/switches, etc.). These will generally require both local and Central Station Monitoring capabilities, electric strikes installations and possibly other locksmith requirements, protective ballistic materials installation, and emergency lighting systems installations. Contractor shall be required to perform self and customer accompanied inspections to insure quality assurance of the installation and maintenance programs and customer satisfaction of all services rendered. Resulting contract will be an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract with one base year and four option years. All options will be evaluated for award purposes. Only written requests for solicitation will be honored, and shall include the business size classification of the requestor. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be accepted. A pre-proposal conference will be on or about January 14, 1997. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Services are expected to commence on or about October 1, 1997. The anticipated issue date for the solicitation is on or about December 19, 1996. (0325)
