action was originally publicized in the CBD dated November 7, 1996. The
bid closing date and time is changed to read December 3, 1996 at 2:00
p.m.. Product (Paper, Bond, Offset) to be delivered to USP Leavenworth,
KS.. Also, in combined synopsis/solicitation issued November 7, 1996,
correct the size to read 18.5 Wide Roll in lieu of 28.5 wide. Add the
following to item description - Minimum post consumer waste content is
50% wastepaper content with 20% post consumer waste. Per FAR
46.706(B)(5), it will be necessary for the contractor to supply a brief
statement with each shipment indicating the material supplied is
covered by their warranty. The statement must include the following:
(1) The substance of the warranty (2) Its duration and (3) Who to
notify if the supplies are found defective. Upon shipment, double
packed rolls will not be accepted. Each roll needs to be individually
wrapped with a proper protective covering to avoid damage to the paper
and lying flat on disposable wooden skids. Non-compliance of the above
may result in the material being returned to the vendor for corrective
action. Rolls may be packed three to the skid. SPECIAL NOTE: The
minimum brightness level of the paper should be 80 percent. All
responsible sources may submit a offer which shall be considered. All
