Base period: 97 Jan 01 - 97 Sep 30; Option year 1: 97 Oct 01 - 98 Sep 30; Option year 2: 98 Oct - 99 Sep 30. Rental of heavy duty commercial washing/drying machines: 1 washer/dryer combo, 88 Dryers, (27 stack units and 34 single units), 76 single washer units, all with coin mechanism blocked off and furnished with on/off switches. Rental shall include all parts, labor and replacement of machinery if necessary. Invoices to be submitted monthly in arrears. Contractor personnel must be U.S. citizen to perform at PSNS. (A) The government may extend the term of the contract by written notice to the contractor within 10 days; provided the government shall give the contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 30 days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the government to an extension. (B) If the government exercises this option, the extended contract shall be considered to include this option provision. (C) The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under clause I1A031, shall not exceed 3 years. Anticipated award date is 12 December 1996.
