December 1996, 1400 hours Guam time. There are two amendments to the
solicitation. All interested bidders are invited to partake in the
acquisition. All other provisions as previously advertised apply. The
intent of this acquisition is obtain operation, maintenance and repair
and replacement for emergency generation systems at U.S. Naval
Activities, Guam, M.I. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for Small
Business Concerns. Those prospective offerors who are Small Businesses
are invited to participate in this procurement. The Contractor shall
operate and maintain the emergency generation systems and associated
electrical and mechanical components. Services shall be provided on
emergency generator units and systems, including diesel engine, and
generators from 30 KW to 500 KW, batteries starting, battery charger,
starter motor, cooling systems, transfer switch (automatic or manual),
control panel, circuit breaker (main generator), exhaust systems and
diesel fuel tank. The Government makes no representation or guarantee
as to the condition of equipment on the start date of the contract. A
site visit and inspection of equipment condition is strongly
encouraged. These services are to be performed under a
Fixed-Price/Indefinite Quantity type Contract. The contract term will
be for a base and four option periods of up to 12 months each with
prices established at award. The duration of the contract including the
exercise of options shall not exceed 66 months. Specifications are
currently available for issue. Due to revisions in the specification,
the bid opening date is revised to read 05 December 1996. Availability
of the solicitation is limited and will be furnished on a
